It's not the full-blown reunion show we were hoping for, but it's a small nibble of a reunion, so we'll take it for now.
Lisa Kudrow has been doing well as part of Lexus' new venture into a online web series. She plays a quirky psychiatrist on the show Therapy and assists her unusual clientele with some abnormal and hilarious behavior.
Coming into the second season, the show will feature a very special guest star: MonicaCourtney Cox Arquette! The Friends alum will appear opposite Kudrow as an ailing psychic who seeks the doctors help as the dreams she has relied on to deliver her psychic vision no longer occur.
It's sounds like it could be cute. We have no idea why Lexus is trying to make TV instead of selling cars, or how this could even remotely help them sell cars, but at least it's keeping Lisa Kudrow busy.
Funny lady, terrible to waste her.
Now, someone light a fire under whoever is in charge of getting a REAL reunion together. Like Jennifer Aniston said, they ain't getting any younger!
In a new interview, legendary horror director Wes Craven offers some interesting tidbits on the future of the Scream franchise.
Here are some HIGHlights::
On the status of Scream 4:
"Bob Weinstein (The Weinstein Company co-chairman) has talked to me, he's interested in me directing it. I had a brief conversation with Kevin [Williamson], I know that Kevin is writing. That's where it's at and I'm not expecting a script until August. I don't think it's a reboot and Kevin, when he talked to me, said, 'Remember, it's not just Scream 4, it's Scream 5 and 6.' So I guess he has a trilogy in mind. I don't know what the premise is or anything."
On returning cast members:
"I've been told, and I don't think they'll mind if I say this, the deals on David Arquette and Courteney are virtually set. I believe everybody else will be new."
On the danger that the films will lose their edge:
"There are a host of dangers in making more films. We have a saying in the United States, 'Jump the shark'. You don't want to do that, you don't want to drive it into the ground. You're avoiding those kind of dangers, hopefully, making the kind of film that has self-awareness from the characters where they're talking about film. I'm sure you can run that into the ground very quickly. I don't have a clue what Kevin is writing. He might be completely going around me, I don’t know."
Scream 6?!
This franchise will not just be run into the ground, it will be six feet under!!!!
We heard that a writer's job was to come up with new ideas!!!
In a new ABC promo, Charlie (played by Dominic Monaghan) is teamed with Courteney Cox Arquette's Cougar Town cougar in a foosball match against Grey's Anatomy's McDreamy (Patrick Dempsey) and Ed O'Neill's character in Modern Family.
During a disagreement over a goal, McDreamy warns Charlie, "You are so dead" and Charlie responds, "Actually, I was."
WAS?!
After drowning in the Season 3 finale, Charlie's return has been greatly speculated!
A spokesperson for Lost would not comment on the promo but executive producer Carlson Cuse noted, "If you look at the show, a lot of characters work more when they're dead than they did when they were alive."
Monaghan's rep, meanwhile, had this response when asked if his client was being resurrected on Lost. "You never know. Stay tuned."
Scream writer-director Kevin Williamson has tappedCourteney Cox Arquette and David Arquette to appear in the upcomingScream sequel.
Why???
We think the horror flicks would be much better off without them!
The Arquettes met on the set of the original film back in 1996 when David, playing Deputy Dewey, charmed Courteney, who held the role of news reporter Gail Weathers. The two have been together ever since.
Let the Arquettes be - bring back Neve Campbell instead!
Tons of celebs came out to see the Fleetwood Mac concert in Los Angeles last night. And we were there too.
But we had no idea we had some Friends in our midst!
Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox were seen leaving the show last night arm and arm. The besties, who were joined by Cox's husband David Arquette, hopefully enjoyed the show as much as we did.
We're just bummed we didn't see them there! We're SURE Maniston would have been thrilled!
Other celebs spotted at the show: Ashley Olsen (and boyfriend Justin Bartha), Nicole Richie, Natalie Maines, Mischa Barton, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Eliza Dushku & Rick Fox (together), Michelle Branch, George Lopez, Alan Thicke and Tom Petty.
Failing to parlay her Friends success into film stardom, Courteney Cox attempted to make a return to television with her show about tabloid journalism, Dirt, which lasted 1.5 seasons on FX.
Now, Jennifer Aniston's BFF is trying again!
Check out (above) two clips from her new TV show, Cougar Town, premiering this fall on ABC.
Jennifer Aniston's best friend, former Friends co-star Courteney Cox, caught the Chris Cornell show at the Wiltern in Los Angeles on Sunday night, where Cox committed a major BFF-faux pas!
Courtney conversed with…
Wait for it…
Brad Pitt.
A spy backstage caught Courteney - as well as Cox's hubby David Arquette - conversing with the enemy!
"Instead of ignoring him, Courteney chatted away with Brad all night. The three were in great spirits and seemed really happy to see each other," reported the snitch.
Ya know, as much as Maniston is probs flipping her shit over this, we bet Brad is on the receiving end of the Wrath of Angelina right about now!!
While filming for her new series, Cougar Town, which we told you about last year, the former Friends star was mistaken for a former supermodel.
That's great, right?
Wrong!
Turns out that former model was Janice Dickinson!
The 44-year-old Cox was filming when a source reveals to Star magazine, "A group of teenagers approached Courteney between takes and asked her about America's Next Top Model."
They actually confused Cox with the 54-year-old, plastic surgery-loving former ANTM judge. HIGHlarious!
The source adds that Courtney "was pretty upset and coolly told the girls they had the wrong person!"
She reportedly even called her hubby to ask if he thought she looked like Dickinson. But the source says "After that, she could barely focus on her lines!"
