This is getting good!!
As we have been reporting, The Bachelor's Ben Higgins filed papers on Thursday to run for a local congressional seat in the state of Colorado as a Republican.
And then, Friday morning, news broke that he was postponing that run due to "unforeseen circumstances."
Well, now we may know exactly what those "unforeseen circumstances" are: Disney! That's right, ABC's parent company!
Word is Disney execs weren't to keen on their vanilla, bland, popular-and-totally-not-threatening Bachelor star wading into the muddy world of politics, and in turn, hurting their popular TV show's brand!
According to tweets from Denver journalist Joe St. George, who's been covering Higgins' aborted political run, sources say that Disney threatened Higgins with a LOT of trouble if he went through with the campaign (below):
She's got bigger fish to fry.
Disney's Moana is the story of the titular 16-year-old girl, voiced by Hawaiian newcomer Auli'i Cravalho, who goes on an adventure to find a banished demi god Maui (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) to save the world!
During Disney's panel at San Diego Comic-Con, directors John Musker and Ron Clements revealed that the Polynesian princess will not have a love interest in this story.
The Little Mermaid filmmakers noted that this is a film about the heroine finding herself — and while she won't have a romance with a prince, Moana has a magical relationship with the sea.
With recent Disney hits like Frozen and Wreck-It Ralph centering around themes about friendship and self-acceptance, we think this idea will really pay off for modern audiences.
Sure, there's so much more for children to take away in movies aside from finding their true love — but we can never forget our favorite couples from Disney classics!

But in a new interview, the pop princess might've said something that could upset people who also struggle with one specific disorder…
While sitting down with Billboard Magazine for a joint interview alongside BFF Nick Jonas, the brunette beauty dished about her Disney days, joking that her time with the powerful corporation gave her Post Traumatic Stress Disorder:
And the latest teaser added yet another wave of anticipation by revealing an adorable baby Moana!
In the Japanese trailer for the upcoming animated film, the young Pacific Islander girl is so cute, even the ocean wants to play with her!
Moana's special gift with the sea is made clear by the caption in the end, which is translated to:
"The story of the girl who had been chosen by sea."

Being a Disney princess is hard work.
All those hours of singing to woodland creatures, cleaning up after your evil stepsisters, or being held captive by your future husband can really take its toll!
And we can't even imagine how many hours go into the upkeep of those hairstyles!
These animated characters probably deal with life's stresses the same way everyone else does — by ending each day with a few
bottles glasses of wine!
And just like us, each princess pairs especially well with a certain glass. We're sure Ariel prefers a sweeter vino to go with all that saltwater, and Belle obvi prefers a classy Pinot Noir.
But which Disney Princess is YOUR wine spirit animal? Answer a few simple questions (below) to find out!
What an exciting and fun reveal!
Thanks to the folks at Disney, we got a teaser of Descendants 2 BEFORE the film's half-hour special airing at 8 pm EST TONIGHT on the Disney Channel.
Happy Friday, y'all!
According to the house of mouse, tonight's special will give fans a taste of what's to come for the children of Disney's most hated villains:
"Tonight during a half-hour special of "Descendants: Wicked World" beginning at 8:00 p.m., EDT, Disney Channel will give fans a taste of the mystery and excitement that will fuel "Descendants 2," the highly anticipated sequel to Disney Channel's global hit Disney's "Descendants." Just when viewers thought "Happily Ever After" had come to the land of Auradon, "Descendants 2" turns the page to reveal a whole new level of intrigue and surprise. In the spot, Mal (daughter of Maleficent), Evie (daughter of the Evil Queen), Carlos (son of Cruella de Vil) and Jay (son of Jafar) leave the "Neon Lights Ball," where the "Descendants: Wicked World" special is set, and a powerful nod to the new character Uma, the daughter of Ursula (played by China Anne McClain), takes over with a sweeping tentacle."
In addition to the amazing clip, we also snagged a logo for the flick set to debut sometime in 2017. You can check out the artwork (below)!
So, are YOU looking forward to the sequel?
