We were JUST hearing reports that Jason Collins had contacted THREE different publishing houses to see if he could write a memoir for them, but now it's looking like the openly gay NBA player is denying the whole thing!

His denial is a little more plausible than usual, because the sources talking about his inquiries all remained anonymous. Who's to say that he even requested at all??

Here's what he tweeted:

Chris Kluwe is one of the most high-profile athlete supporters of the LGBT community, and it looks like he's being replaced by a 5th round pick as kicker on the Minnesota Vikings because of it! UGH!

He was part of that team for EIGHT YEARS, and we agree with him that it has something to do with his work for equality — even as a straight married man with kids! He was most recently fighting legislation in Minnesota that would have banned same-sex marriage when he gained a bunch of notoriety for a profanity-lace letter he wrote to Maryland Assembly Delegate Emmett C. Burns that went viral.

Here's what he said about his cut and the bullshizz that it means:

The first openly gay man in the NBA wants you to read his words — Jason Collins is seeking a book deal!!

Apparently he's writing a memoir, though we're not sure if we really want one yet… unless he promises to publish ANOTHER one after his career as an out-and-proud-gay-man is over! Seriously, his crazy story has just begun!

Regardless, three different publishing houses are reporting that they've been contacted by him

Could there BE a bigger powerhouse duo at the Democratic National Committee LGBT gala than Jason Collins and Michelle Obama??

We think not!

Not only is Michelle one of our favorite people on this planet, but she's being joined by a history-maker! Jason just became the first gay player actively still in the NBA, having chosen to come out while he's a free agent so as not to distract any team he was a part of! Even the President Barack Obama called him on the same day to congratulate him!

Tickets are starting at $1,250 per person and go up to $32,400 per couple to chair the event. That's SUPER expensive, but the night is gonna be worth it!
