Charges were dropped against Jonathan Rhys Meyers on Wednesday.

A sympathetic judge took pity on the actor, who was arrested for being drunk and abusive last month at the airport in Dublin.

Rhys Meyers' lawyer said his client's behaviour at the airport was "unacceptable and out of character." He said Rhys Meyers "unreservedly apologizes" to airport security guards, police and staff at the British airline BMI, and planned to make a donation to an unspecified charity as a way to acknowledge his wrongdoing.

That's all it takes these days? To apologize?

Maybe this is what drove him to drink?

Jonathan Rhys Myers was arrested at the airport in Dublin on Sunday and charged with being drunk and a breach of the peace.

Now, Perezcious readers in Ireland tell us that local media is reporting that the actor's mother has passed away.

The Cork City native had been in ill health for a while and allegedly succumbed to a stroke Monday night.

Bummer.

Jonathan Rhys Myers was arrested at an airport in Dublin on Sunday and charged with being drunk and a breach of the peace.

The actor, who completed a stint in rehab seven months ago, tells the December issue of Details:

"I didn’t drink until I was 25, and I never drank every day, but when I did, it was bad. It would be a couple of days that just wouldn’t work out for me, waking up with a hangover. Drink doesn’t fit into the groove of where my life is going."

He's just making up for lost time!!!

Tudors actor Jonathan Rhys Myers was arrested at the airport in Dublin on Sunday.

Why????

He was charged with being drunk and a breach of the peace and was released on cash bail.

He'll probably be back in rehab before the week is over!

Jonathan Rhys Myers and his beard looked deliciously uncomfortable together at the New York premiere of August Rush on Sunday night.

There is a medical condition that could cause that eye thing. Right?

There's just something totally pervy and creepy about him. Not to mention he's got a case of the gayface as bad as Zac Efron, if not worse.

The Tudors actor is on the cover of the new holiday issue of Details, and he gives one of the gayest interviews ever.
