What a horrible person.

Back in the '90s, some mainstream shows managed to slip in queer characters on the down low, masking their sexuality with innuendos and other homoerotic undertones.
One example is the hit series Xena: Warrior Princess, which always teased fans that the titular warrior (Lucy Lawless) and her charge Gabrielle (Renee O'Connor) might have been more than just friends!
But with an upcoming reboot of the fantasy series coming up, those subtle undertones will become undeniable overtones!
NBC tapped writer Javier Grillo-Marxuach to pen the pilot for the Xena reboot, and The 100 producer plans to make the chemistry between Xena and Gabrielle a LOT more front and center!
During a Q&A session on Tumblr, the scribe confirmed that the reboot would "fully" explore the relationship between the two leading ladies, writing:
"xena will be a very different show made for very different reasons. there is no reason to bring back xena if it is not there for the purpose of fully exploring a relationship that could only be shown subtextually in first-run syndication in the 1990s. it will also express my view of the world - which is only further informed by what is happening right now - and is not too difficult to know what that is if you do some digging."
It's such an amazing time for diverse storytelling in TV, and we're LOVING that LGBT characters are on the screen now more than ever — even if it's retroactive!
Now we absolutely can't wait for the Xena reboot!
ICYMI: Over the weekend, comedienne Tig Notaro married her girlfriend, Stephanie Allynne, and it seems their nuptials were quite the celebrity filled affair. LOVES it!
In case you forgot, the twosome first met while filming Miz Bell's movie, In A World, back in 2013 and have been inseparable ever since. The pair got engaged on New Year's Day this year — my how time flies!
It appears the duo definitely had a fun wedding as the stand-up celeb took to Twitter to share some updates from her special day.
We just don't know what to think anymore.
First Lucy Lawless hinted that she and Sam Raimi were in the process of making a Xena: The Warrior Princess reboot.
Then she dashed those nostalgic dreams by tweeting that the news was actually just a giant rumor.
And now she's going around hanging out with one of her old castmates, which we can't help but think means she's trying to get the old gang on board!
Lucy and Renee O'Connor played Xena and Gabrielle for all six seasons of the classic fantasy show, and the pair just reunited 15 years after the series finale on Thursday.
We're glad they're still BFFs all these years later!
Do U think this could mean the Xena reboot is a real thing??

We're so on board for this!
It seems as though 2015 is the year of the reboot, and NBC apparently wants in on the trend.
That's because it was announced on Monday that the peacock network is looking to remake the classic fantasy/drama Xena: Warrior Princess for the modern age!
The Hercules spin-off starred Lucy Lawless as the titular hero from 1995-2001, and the reboot is currently in very early stages of development as executive producers Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi look for a writer to attach to the project.
NBC apparently wants Lucy to be involved with the series both on camera and behind the scenes, which shouldn't be too hard seeing as she's been part of the Universal family recently with her recurring role on Parks and Recreation.
The one downside? The studio wants its leading lady to be a mix of Lucy's Xena with Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen — so basically they just want a serialized Hunger Games… but still, we'll take what we can get!
However, Lucy herself has commented on the news suggesting that the show is only a rumor, but we still have faith:
There isn't too much other info about the reboot just yet — but this is definitely one Hollywood remake we can totally get behind!
Do U think this news is just too good to be true??

This is great casting news for the Evil Dead TV series!
Last November, Starz announced they ordered a 10-episode TV series based on the 1981 cult classic, Evil Dead.
On Monday, the premium cable network confirmed that Lucy Lawless, best known for the titular role in the 90's hit series, Xena: Warrior Princess, will be joining the cast!
BE STILL OUR HEARTS.
The 46-year-old actress will be playing
They say when one copies something - it's a compliment!
We wonder if Lucy Lawless is feeling that way these days!
And subsequently the director made the world go nuts when he tweeted it out for everyone to see!
But we definitely noticed the similarities that the costume, worn by actress Gal Gadot, has with the one that Lucy Lawless wore on Xena: Warrior Princess! And we weren't the only ones!
Here are some tweets slash reactions after the costume was revealed
