It's ultimately in the hands of the housewives themselves!

Marc Cherry, creator of Desperate Housewives, has signed a deal keeping him on the show for the eighth and ninth seasons!

The show is currently in its sixth and guaranteed for at least seventh because the main actors have a contract until 2011. If the actors wish to carry on in their roles they could be on the air until 2013.

We think they would be pretty foolish to pass up a big bucks deal like that! Because really Teri Hatcher, what else are you going to do?

Desperate Housewives is one of the best shows for ABC, being the top program in its time slot for all 5 weeks of the season so far. It's also a top-selling DVD franchise all over the world.

Do U want to see the housewives into their ninth season?

Who else would you expect on the top of the list?

Tyra Banks took the first place spot on Forbes list of Prime-Time's Top Earning Women earning considerably more than her contemporaries.

Between America's Next Top Model, The Tyra Banks Show, and numerous cameos, including a recent shiteous turn on Gossip Girl, TyTy raked in an estimated $30 million this year!

Katherine Heigl took the number two spot earning $18 million for her television work on Grey's Anatomy and several film roles including this year's The Ugly Truth.

We are very happy to report that Marcia Cross' husband, Tom Mahoney, who was diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of this year, is reportedly doing very well.

While attending the Rock A Little, Feed A Lot benefit concert Tuesday, Marcia told reporters that her husband is "healthy, and he is doing great." He later joined his wife at the event, after he finished his duties as Dad and put their 2-year-old twin daughters to bed.

We're glad to hear he is doing well!

On a side note, if any of you Melrose Place fans were hoping to see the return of Dr. Kimberly Shaw, we're afraid we'll have to dash those dreams. Maricia reveals she hasn't even seen the new spinoff, much less has any plans to reprise her role on it.

That's okay Marcia, you concentrate on the fam. Let Heather Locklear save the show!

Come fall, the botox is back!

In May's Desperate Housewives season finale, Susan (E.T. look-alike Teri Hatcher) has been put through the ringer.

After Susan's ex, Mike, came to the rescue while their son was hovering near death, the two shared a passionate kiss, which cut directly to a wedding scene!

Mike was accompanied by a veiled bride, but only time will tell if the unknown woman is Susan or his fiance, Katherine.

The suspense is killing us!!!

It's being reported that the upcoming Housewives season premiere will feature a Susan Mayer wedding or for the show that is no stranger to flashbacks, preparation to do so.

Either way, Wisteria Lane will be seeing some familiar faces!

Susan's daughter Julie will come home from college this fall along with her father, Karl, who got a little naughty with Bree (Marcia Cross) in the season finale.

Desperate Housewife Marcia Cross and husband Tom Mahoney taught their twins the importance of sun safety while playing in Brentwood Park on Sunday.

They look so cute in their lil' hats!

Of course, Momma Cross knows that plastic surgery avoidance of the sun's harmful rays keeps your skin healthy!!!!

Marcia Cross was spotted in L.A. on Sunday picking up a few items from the drugstore.

Besides the enema kit, she also purchased a bottle of prune juice!

We think it's probably for her husband - Tom Mahoney - who was recently revealed to be suffering from cancer. Chemotherapy is known to cause constipation in some patients.

Marcia is such a loving wife!

We wish her husband a speedy recovery and our hearts go out to their family!

Details regarding his condition are limited, but a rep for the actress said, "He is currently under treatment and is responding very well."
