There's a new Charm School head mistress in town!

Former chatter queen Ricki Lake will be the new HBIC when the show returns to VH1 in the summer of 2009.

Go Ricki! Go Ricki!

A VH1 suit said, “We are thrilled to have Ricki spearheading this new take on Charm School. Our audience knows her, loves her and respects her. And Ricki certainly knows a thing or two about taking big, loud characters and bringing them to a place of new emotional understanding.”

She'll whip those charmless skanks into shape fo sho!

Big girl, you are beautiful!

She may be less than half the size of her former self, but Ricki Lake will always be part of the big girls' club…and she's an inspiration to us all!

The former fattie looked marvelous at a special screening of her documentary, The Business of Being Born, Wednesday night at the IFC Centre in New York City.

Do your thing, honey!
