According to Variety, the producers for ACS (along with Fox 21 TV and FX Productions) have optioned Jeffrey Toobin's book, A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down A President, for an upcoming installment of the hit program. Ryan Murphy is a true master of suspense!
On Thursday, FX boss John Landgraf spoke about Ryan's plans for American Horror Story season seven and dished on which veterans have already signed on for the next installment.

As we previously reported, Mr. Murphy decided to keep viewers in the dark over the plot of AHS: Roanoke until its September 2016 premiere. According to John, this is a "marketing hook" the writer intends to replicate.
The FX mogul explained:

Last November it was reported that Lady GaGa would be playing Donatella Versace in the upcoming third season of American Crime Story, which will explore the 1997 murder of fashion icon Gianni Versace.

But apparently, this perfect casting was merely a Perfect Illusion — because Ryan Murphy just revealed that GaGa was never really even in talks to appear in the third season of the FX crime drama!
Speaking to a group of reporters at the Television Critics Association press tour, the producer was asked if the pop star would be playing the fashion designer — to which he simply responded:
Ryan Murphy's shows can fall anywhere on the TV spectrum — giving viewers anything from compelling character studies to over-stuffed hot messes. And it's all ratings gold!
But the American Horror Story mastermind wants viewers to know that his newest FX drama, Feud: Bette and Joan, will be anything but a "quote-unquote camp-fest."
The producer's latest anthology series centers around the legendary feud between silver screen legends Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, played respectively by Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange.

While the upcoming premiere already has viewers excited for more infamous feuds to come in future seasons, Murphy said he has no plans to explore another Hollywood-centric female feud!
Speaking at the show's panel at the 2017 Winter TCA Press Tour, he explained:
