Ex-Weezer Bassist Mikey Welsh Predicted His Own Death In A Dream!

Weezer Mikey Welsh Dream Prediction Death Drug Overdose

This is chilling!

As we told you earlier, the former bassist for rock band Weezer, Mikey Welsh, was found dead in his hotel room this past weekend.

The cause of death appears to be overdose. So sad. He's been in our thoughts since we heard the news.

But what's crazy weird is that he actually predicted his own death in a dream weeks before!!!

Two weeks ago, Mikey tweeted:

We LOVE This Foster The People Cover!!!

Oooh!

This is giving us chills!

You're SOO good, Dan Talevski!

We've probably played Pumped Up Kicks about 1,468 times now, so hearing a new spin on it is quite refreshing!

Are you listening, Foster the People?? Weezer isn't the only one covering you!

Foster The People Does Weezer!

Looks like someone decided to return the favor! How nice!

After Weezer covered Foster the People's Pumped Up Kicked at an Orange County show earlier in the month, the latter band in turn performed a frankly FANTASTIC version of the former's classic track, Say It Ain't So, at the 2011 Outside Lands Festival!

Ch-ch-check it out (above)!

So RAD! And again - such an awesome gesture, on both of their parts!

What do U think?? U feeling Foster the People's tribute to Weezer?

For their first time ever, Weezer decided to surprise the crowd at Orange County's Pacific Amphitheatre by playing their cover of Pumped Up Kicks!

Just like the original, it's a-mazing!!!

So this is the new thing, huh? Forget world tours! It's about cruisin'!

Weezer has just announced that in January of next year, they will set sail on a cruise created especially for their fans. They're calling it a "musical festival at sea" and have invited a slew of other artists to play along with them on the ship.

Check out the video from the band (above) to learn more!

Hmm. Maybe this is something some other artists should consider.

Yes, GaGaloo, we're talking to you! Let's take you little monsters on an ocean voyage!!!

Weezer Planning Blue/Pinkerton Tour!

Filed under: Music Minute > Weezer

Any Weezer fans out there who suffer from depression will all be instantly cured with this news!

The band has announced their plans for a retro tour, where they will spend 2 nights in each city. The first night, they will play the entire Blue album, and the second night they will play Pinkerton in its entirety.

Here’s what frontman Rivers Cuomo had to say about it:

"We have this really exciting idea to do a tour where we spend two nights in each city, and the first night, we play the entire Blue album, and the second night, we play the entirety of Pinkerton. We're just running it by promoters right now to see if there's sufficient interest in the markets to do something like that, and if they're on board, it's gonna happen."

And more from Rivers:

"The fan response has been incredible so far for the idea. And, if they want to, they can contact their local promoter and tell them to make it happen."

We will be shocked if this doesn’t happen. Hardcore Weezer fans worship those two albums. We’ll be keeping an ear out for an official announcement of this tour, which we're sure will happen sooner than later.

Would U like to see a Blue/Pinkerton tour?
