We told you earlier about Mariah Carey‘s lawsuit against her former assistant, in which she alleged the ex-employee had tried to extort money from her.
But while we’d heard the assistant had threatened to release videos of the Honey singer’s “personal activities,” we now have a better idea what that really means.
Sources tell PerezHilton.com exclusively the intimate videos in question are videos ones the assistant allegedly took of Mariah during some manic moments.

The Glitter star has been open in recent months about her bipolar disorder diagnosis — but that’s not the same as being OK with everyone seeing her at her worst.
Our insider tells us:
“Mariah is very concerned that this footage will leak or be sold. She takes her children very seriously and her career very seriously and she is afraid if this gets out there it could negatively impact things.”
It’s so bad she worries it could hurt her relationship with her children? Surely not her custody??
We wish mental health problems didn’t still carry such a stigma that Mariah would have to be afraid — but unfortunately the world is a very unforgiving place, and perhaps a viral video really could destroy her career.
