Volunteers Too Fat To Join Army!

military-obese-fitness-training-rejects.jpg

Obesity is now the leading reason for a potential army volunteer to be turned away from service.

Over 1,600 soldiers have been kicked out of the army this year alone due to being overweight.

Maybe it has something to do with the ban on fast food joints on military bases being lifted…

Openly Gay U.S. Soldier Randy Phillips Demonstrates Oblique Crunches - Shirtless!

Filed under: Gay Gay GayYouTubeFitnessRandy Phillips

We may be in love.

This soldier was not only courageous enough to defend our country, then famously come out to his family (and the world) on a viral YouTube video, but he's got a HAWT bod too!

The first two things are definitely more admirable, but a nice physique doesn't hurt his appeal. Ha!

It turns out Randy Phillips is a bit of a fitness enthusiast and wants to open his own gym one day, so he is starting to upload short, simple exercise videos to inspire his fans to not only be proud of their sexuality, but their bodies as well.

In his first vid, he demonstrates how to perform oblique side crunches…with his shirt off…and we love it. Randy wants you to know though, he's been slacking off for a few weeks and, like the rest of us, is ready to get back in shape, saying:

"This is nowhere near the my best physical shape, but I wanted to show you what I looked like after slacking off for a few weeks."

Can't wait to see what this guy looks like after NOT slacking off for a few weeks!

Check out the video above and check out his YouTube channel for more!

Joe Jonas Going Through Boot Camp Training

Dating can be as intense as military combat…

Right?

Apparently that’s what Joe Jonas is thinking, which is why he's doing boot camp workouts to get into better shape.

His trainer made him do sprints, push-ups, and a variety of other exercises.

Ladies, prepare yourself — Joe Jonas is the new G.I. Joe! Hawt!

Army Gets Fitness Makeover

Army Gets Fitness Makeover

The army is about to toughen up!

For the last 30 years the army has had the same fitness requirements, but they’re all about to change. Instead of having to do sit-ups, soldiers will have to do things like run on a balance beam with two 30-pound canisters of ammunition, drag a sled weighted with 180 pounds of sandbags, and vault over obstacles while carrying a rifle.

Wow.

The current fitness test simply involves sit-ups, push-ups and a two-mile run twice a year within times that vary by age and gender.

The test is being modernized to help prepare soldiers for battle more effectively — they won’t ever have to do sit-ups mid fight, but they probably will have to sprint while holding a rifle.

This sounds so intense, but the more prepared they are the better!
