People: LEAVE TIGERS ALONE!!!!

A 25-year-old man jumped into the tiger pit at the Bronx Zoo in what appeared to be a suicide attempt.

The zoo's Siberian tiger exhibit is only visible by monorail, which prompted David Villalobos, riding in the last car, to leap from the train.

The tiger mauled Villalobos, biting his arm, back, and legs. Zookeepers used a fire house to get the tiger away from the man and EMTs performed care on Villalobos.

No ones knows why the man jumped into the tiger pit but Bronx Zoo Director Jim Breheny says the tiger did nothing wrong and won't be put down.
