Brock Turner was released from jail on Friday, serving just three months of his six-month sentence after being convicted of sexual assault in March of this year.
Around 6 a.m. PST, the former Stanford University swimmer made no comment to press and protesters waiting for him as he left jail, rushing passed the crowd to be whisked away in an SUV.
After the 21-year-old's release, Santa Clara County Sheriff Laurie Smith told press that Turner "should be in prison right now, but he's not in our custody."
