Sean Astin Says The Goonies Sequel Is Definitely Happening! But What Does The Original Cast Even Look Like Now?!

no title

Last year, The Goonies fans FREAKED OUT after director Richard Donner revealed that a sequel was in the works!

Even though no further development updates have been announced since then, Sean Astin is sure that a sequel is still on the way — but he's not sure how long we'll have to wait to see it!

The star of the original 1985 cult classic opened up about a Goonies sequel on Facebook, writing:

"I have always believed that there will be a Goonies Sequel, because Steven Spielberg told me in 1988 that he wanted to make one…If it gets made in my lifetime, I will root for it, whether I'm in it or not. If it gets made after I'm no longer here to be in it or to watch it, I still know in my heart, guts, wherever, the it will get made."

Sounds like whether Mikey and his friends will be in the sequel is still up in the air! See how the they would look on the big screen now!
