Fireworks. Explosions in the sky that make you Say Aah Aah Aah (thanks Trey Songz!) with their crazy colors…
But the July 4th can also do some serious damage to your pets' nerves!
Pets may panic, feel anxious, bark uncontrollably and even run away due to the fireworks. So how do you help make sure your pooch doesn't try to Shawshank your backyard?

In central Arkansas about 100 blackbirds died on New Years Eve after someone set off fireworks near their roost.
The local police asked residents to stop setting off fireworks as they were scaring the birds, sending them flying into houses, utility poles and each other.
The state Game and Fish Commission said that someone appeared to have specifically targeted a blackbird roost due to evidence of fireworks right at the site of the roost.
Last year, the same thing happened except it resulted in the deaths of over 1,000 blackbirds.
Maybe it's time to rethink the fireworks policy in Arkansas.
Poor birdies…
