There's a private golf course in Haiti that has been occupied by earthquake victims for the past three years. Understandably, the owners want that back.

So how do you move the people that are living there, which at one point reached as many as 60,000??

You give $8.75 million to Sean Penn, that's how! Ha!

The government is giving that money to Penn’s J/P Haitian Relief Organization, which will use it to

So of course when Garth Brooks wanted to help others he decided to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity!

He joined the hundreds of volunteers who have built over 100 homes in the Port-au-Prince area, hardest hit by the big Haiti earthquake.

Sean Penn Blasts Whole World For Abandoning Haiti

Filed under: Barack ObamaSad SadSean PennCharity

Sean Penn Mad

You do not want to see Sean Penn angry, and he's angry — he's angry that the media and whole world has abandoned Haiti after their natural disaster.

And he isn't wrong.

Here's what he said:

"It's not only celebrities who went for a day. It's the whole [expletive] world. It's all of you. The reason we have Haiti fatigue is because there was never a commitment in the first place."

He even called upon Obama to meet with Haiti's new President, Michel Joseph Martelly:

"It's time our elegant and formidable president stood side by side [with Martelly]."

While we agree that the media's attention is diverted really easily, we also have to say that there have been other natural disasters to happen outside of Haiti, like the tsunami in Japan. This does NOT excuse abandoning one for the other, but rather, maybe our attention is spread too thin.

And we honestly do not have an answer on how to fix it.

What we do know, is, that there are way too many people in this world who need help, and the only way we can lower that number is to dig in and start helping!

We just all need to do what we can.
