London Paints The Town Blue To Celebrate Royal Baby Boy!

trafalgar

These blues are certainly royal!

All of London has gone into full celebration by decorating their various landmarks and coloring them blue in honor of the birth of a baby boy!

The Fountains of Trafalgar Square have gone blue and will stay colored for the next 7 days, the Tower Bridge has been lit up, and the BT Tower is transmitting to all of London, in case anyone hasn't heard the joyous news, that "it's a boy!"

Likewise, Twitter has exploded with pictures!

Even the London Eye has received some color in its iris so to speak, while the London Aquarium glows blue just behind it!

We wish William and Kate the best, and hope they get around to naming the princely bundle of joy!

Jimmy Buffet Rushed To Hospital

64-year-old singer Jimmy Buffet was rushed to the hospital today in Australia after falling off of the stage during a concert.

So far, people think a flashing light caused him to become unconscious and hit the ground.

The band’s lead guitarist says that Jimmy was doing a solo at the front of the stage when he was hit directly by a large amount of light, knocking him backwards.

Fortunately, he wasn’t too seriously hurt, and doctors stay he’s in stable condition.

Slumdog Millionare Composer's Tour Postponed After Lighting Accident!

So frightening! And very Phantom of the Opera!

A.R. Rahman, the Bollywood film composer behind the Oscar-winning soundtrack for Slumdog Millionaire, was involved in a serious accident on Saturday on his A.R. Rahman Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour in Detroit!

Apparently, the Pontiac Silverdome was not strong enough to support some of the concert's light structures, and one broke free and crashed onto the stage!

Rahman says:

"It’s a miracle my team escaped with minor injuries."

Seriously! Absolutely insane!

Rahman has rescheduled the remaining tour dates for September.

We're relieved that no one was seriously injured! This could have been much, much worse!

Update: Reps for the Silverdome are stressing that the unfortunate issue had nothing to do with the Silverdome's infrastructure, but rather with the rig Rahman's team had set up. We're just glad no one was seriously hurt.
