Lions Murder Lioness In Front Of Zoo Visitors!

We sometimes forget that even if an animal has lived in a zoo its entire life… they're still a wild animal.

They may look cute and cuddly and might even act that way sometimes but an animal is an animal and sometimes they just snap for no reason.

That seems to be the case at the Dallas Zoo because two lions killed a lioness for no reason at all!!

This past Sunday, a male lion attacked Johari, a 5-year-old female, biting her in the neck out of nowhere.

Before zookeepers could intervene, another male lion joined in and the two murdered Johari… right in front of zoo patrons!!

That's so awful! We really hope no little kids were watching!

Check out the video (above) to learn how it went down and find out what's going to happen to those murderous lions.

Lion Cubs Explore Their Habitat At Oregon Zoo

Ahhhhh! We love baby lionsssss!

Little lion cubs are so stankin' cute because they're not big enough to eat faces yet and they're just like giant kittiesssss!

Oregon Zoo's lioness Neka has 7-week-old cubs and they're just the best things ever.

The three tiny cubs are seen climbing all over stuff, chasing each other and trying to eat their mama's tail! Ha!

They're so incredibly cute we can hardly handle it.

We wanna be in there running around with them! (As long as the adult lions are far, farrrrrrr away!)

Check out the video (above) for some serious lion cub cuteness!

Baby Lions Will Steal Your Heart!

Lion cubs

Back on April 7th, four Asiatic Lion cubs were born at the Emmen Zoo in Holland.

The little guys are so crazy cute it hurts!

They were born to proud parents Zulu, the papa, and Tia, the mama.

The night house den, a behind the scenes enclosure, was cleared of all other lions, so Tia and her babies could bond during the critical first few weeks of life.

With a live webcam back there, the keepers have been able to monitor the cubs as they nurse, bond and grow bigger and bigger each day.

Tia is apparently an excellent mother.

So glad that all the little cubs are happy and healthy!

The world can always use a few more lions.

That is one brave zoo keeper!

After slowly introducing himself to the lioness he was able to hang out with her in her enclosure.

Then, amazingly, she trusted him enough to let him handle her newborn cubs!!

That's crazy!

They are so stinkin' cute it almost hurts.

Zoo Worker Killed By Lioness In South Africa

lioness-kills-zoo-workers.jpg

At a zoo just 75 miles outside of Johannesburg, a zoo worker was killed by a lioness.

Joe Ramonetha, 63, was either feeding the 11-year-old lioness or cleaning her cage when she attacked him.

The lioness jumped up and bit him in the throat!

Co-workers heard his screams but he was dead by the time he got to the hospital.

Investigators said:

"It was evident that a terrible accident had occurred — gates were left open — the incident thus occurred due to human error."

A zoo manager said:

"The staff are trained to close all gates on entering the facility, to let the lions out into the outside camp area, secure the entrances to the night rooms and passage before any work commenced.

Joe was attacked in the staff passage and sustained a fatal bite wound to his throat."

Joe has left behind his wife and four adult children.

The zoo's managers are meeting now to decide what will happen to the lioness.

This is so sad.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to his family and friends.
