A spokesperson for the company said:

"Marchesa is looking forward to presenting their Fall 18 collection in an updated format this season."

The New York Post reports the 41-year-old clothing designer "couldn't go through" with the traditional show (scheduled for February 14, no less) because "she was too scared." We can't blame her.

Even Meryl Streep knows how to clap back in style!

As we reported over the weekend, Rose McGowan SLAMMED The Post star on Twitter for, in her opinion, being a hypocrite regarding her professional relationship with Harvey Weinstein.

In a since-deleted tweet, the Charmed actress — who has publicly accused the mogul of rape — says Streep "happily" worked for Weinstein and stayed "silent" about his alleged abuses for years. Rose wrote:

"Actresses, like Meryl Streep, who happily worked for The Pig Monster, are wearing black @goldenglobes in a silent protest. YOUR SILENCE is THE problem. You'll accept a fake award breathlessly & affect no real chance. I despise your hypocrisy. Maybe you should all wear Marchesa."

On Monday, the 68-year-old released a statement to HuffPost via publicist Leslee Dart where she says she truly "did not know about Weinstein's crimes," and that McGowan "assumed and broadcast something untrue about me."

As we wrote in October, the Oscar winner said she "didn't know about [Weinstein's] offenses" in a previous comment to HuffPost.

The Harvey Weinstein accuser pointed out the 'hypocrisy' of the movement, saying the gowns would 'affect no real change' in a biting tweet.

Amber Tamblyn has now publicly (and privately) responded in disapproval to McGowan's criticism of the Hollywood actresses trying to make a difference.

Rose McGowan Calls Out 'Hypocrisy' Of Meryl Streep And Others Planning To Wear Black At Golden Globes

Stars like Meryl Streep and several other actresses are planning on wearing black to the Golden Globes this year to protest gender inequality and produce a silent protest that they hope will speak volumes at the award show, but Rose McGowan, for one, isn't having any of it.

McGowan took to Twitter on Saturday evening and called out Streep by name, pointing out 'hypocrisy' and the fact that the gowns would 'affect no real change' in a biting tweet that… made some sense, if we're being honest.

The Who's The Boss? actress said:

"Georgina is doing very well… She's an amazing mother. She's an amazing woman, and I think her priority right now is focusing on how to raise those two children to the best of her capacity given the situation."

As we reported, Milano did not immediately comment on the producer's controversy out of respect for the Marchesa designer, who is her "friend" and "one of the most special humans I have ever met."

However, Rose McGowan is calling BS on the entire thing!

Georgina Chapman's Fashion Brand Marchesa Is Doing 'Fantastic' Amid Estranged Husband Harvey Weinstein's Rape Allegations

marchesa is doing fine amid harvey weinstein scandal

Georgina Chapman clearly made the right calling by distancing herself from her scandalized husband, Harvey Weinstein.

As we previously reported, back in October, the fashion designer announced that she was leaving the indie movie mogul amid his sexual misconduct scandal. Since this decision, Weinstein's ousting from Hollywood took an even darker turn as he was hit with accusations of rape.

Since a boycott of Chapman's luxury label, Marchesa, was called when the scandal first broke, many have wondered how the intensified drama has affected the line. Well, according to senior vice president and fashion director of Neiman Marcus Ken Downing, business has been "fantastic" throughout this ordeal.

Still, the gossip around town is that A-listers are avoiding the red carpet wear like the plague. Stylist Tod Hallman dished to Pret-A-Reporter:
