Just as we thought she would!
Cheryl Cole has officially started her gig as a judge on the American version of The X Factor alongside Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid, and Paula Abdul, and according to sources on the set of her first day of auditions, she was an absolute hit with fellow judges, contestants, and spectators alike - despite her Newcastle accent!
The Girls Aloud singer was reportedly greeted by a crowd of 3,000 cheering and chanting "We Love Cheryl!" as she arrived at the Galen Center, and later, was introduced to contestants by judge Paula Abdul with the following words:
“She’s a superstar in her own right, welcome Cheryl Cole.”
Cheryl then introduced herself by saying:
“I’m thrilled to be here. You might have to bear with me and the accent just a bit… I hope you are all looking forward to getting to know me. It might take you a second to understand my accent but we’ll get there. And just remember, it’s really hard for the contestants coming on here, sometimes – so be kind.”
So lovely!
We're so glad to see her get off to such a positive start!
Keep up the good work, gurl!
We're looking forward to watching you KILL IT on this show!
