Parents Pick On New MTV Series, I Just Want My Pants

Parents Pick On New MTV Series

Parents Television Council is like, so super pissed at MTV.

What's cra car is that the PTC usually approves of MTV's oriental content…. JUST KIDDING!! They nearly always disapprove of MTV's shows.

This time they're complaining that the cable network's new series, I Just Want My Pants is marketed to 12-year-olds, even though it's TV-14 rating and warns kids under the age of 14 not to watch.

PTC's president condemned the network in a statement, saying:

“Once again MTV is taking HBO-style content and marketing it to a Nickelodeon-age audience. The network programming executive is on the record saying 12-year-olds are in his crosshairs. And the TV-14 content rating is intentionally misleading for parents and for advertisers. The Parents Television Council will not sit silently and allow this affront to go unchallenged.”

Of course they won't!

They even have a plan - a very weird plan — to get the show to lose funding. Here's their threat to advertisers:

“All of MTV’s advertisers, including Dr. Pepper, T-Mobile and Toyota, will be asked if foursomes and a woman who tells her sexual partner to ‘stick a finger in my a**’ are an accurate reflection of their hard-earned corporate brands. Parents need to be warned about MTV’s stated intention to target children as young as 12 with this explicit material.”

That's sure to get their attention!

What do U think? Should Dr. Pepper and other advertisers pull out?

They also announced that they have more than 50 projects in development that will span across TV and digital outlets. Some include work from stand-up comedian and actress Caroline Rhea and actor and author Annabelle Gurwitch.

Meet The New Voice Of Dora The Explorer

Filed under: TV NewsStuff 4 Kidz

Fatima Ptacek

Introducing…. Fatima Ptacek!

This totally adorbz 11-year-old girl from Queens is about to become one of the world's most recognizable voices: Dora The Explorer.

The sixth grader, who will replace the actress that has played Dora since 2000, is highly qualified. Having appeared in nearly 50 television commercials and a wide-variety of print ads, Fatima is well aquatinted with show biz.

She's also a long-time fan of the Explorer. She says:

“I’ve been watching Dora for as long as I remember, I’ve grown up with Dora. Being the voice of Dora, I can’t even get over it, it’s such an honor.”

Naturally, Fatima is bilingual (cause it'd be so awkward if she wasn't). She has signed a three-year contract with Nickelodeon — which means the public school student will be voicing Dora when she starts high school.

We're sure her paycheck will totes make up for all the Map and Swipper jokes she's sure to encounter over the few years.

It's Shocking How Normal Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie's Family Is

It's Shocking How Normal Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie's Family Is

In most ways the world's most beautiful family is NOT like everyone else - but they try to be!

Brad Pitt claims that even though they can afford anything, his family's taste are super average.

While us common folk long for gowns, red carpets and Five-Star chiefs, Brad says he prefers a family dinner.

The Oscar-nominated actor says he and Angelina Jolie like to relax during award season. He says that,

"A lot of it, for us, is family. Just breaking away and getting to take the kids to Benihana's or something."

OMG! Benihana's?! That's OUR family fave!

Before you get too shocked about that down-to-earth answer listen to this: The fam's fave TV show is iCarly! The super dad admits,

"iCarly is big in our house. It is. I know every episode."

He must watch that a LOT!! We're sure the cast of iCarly will be proud to hear that!

So, when Brad and Angie aren't walking the red carpet, they're probs eating some stir fry and watching Nickelodeon! That's too cute!
