This Dog Will Lose Her Eye After Being Shot In The Face — And Police Refuse To Charge The Man Responsible!
This is horrible!
Lilly the dog most likely will lose her eye, and the man responsible is being let off.
Ann Elizabeth Christensen was taking her 11-year-old husky mix for a walk when her neighbor Geroge Burdock thought Lilly was going to attack him and his two dogs.
So the 70-year-old Winter Park, Florida resident loaded his .38 caliber gun with shake shot and fired right in the canine's face, hitting her right eye!
Christensen claims her pet "absolutely was not aggressive at all" as she was getting ready to leash Lilly and take her for a walk.
After firing the gun, Burdock reportedly refused to help with the injured dog and fled to his home. Police did not charge Burdock because a neighbor who witnessed the incident claimed that the husky mix was acting aggressive.
But the lack of legal action has called local animal lovers to rally in protest. On Sunday, over a dozen protesters marched down Burdock's street with signs that read "paws up don't shoot."
