Paul Walker's Daughter Suing Porsche Over Her Father's Death

Filed under: Legal MattersR.I.P.FamilyCeleb KidzPaul Walker

Meadow claims the car company knew the model that crashed wasn't as safe as it should have been.

Paul Walker's daughter Meadow has filed a lawsuit against Porsche for the wrongful death of her father.

The late actor was riding in a Porsche Carrera GT in the car crash that resulted in his untimely passing. According to the papers filed by the 16-year-old's lawyers, the Furious 7 star had survived the impact, but the seatbelt had "snapped Walker's torso back with thousands of pounds of force, thereby breaking his ribs and pelvis" so he couldn't get out of the vehicle.

The documents said that when the car caught fire almost a minute and a half later, Paul "breathed soot into his trachea while the Porsche Carrera GT burned."

While authorities had said the accident was caused because the car's driver, Roger Rodas, was speeding over 80 miles per hour, the suit says he wasn't going faster than 71 MPH.

Meadow's lawyers also claimed the car wouldn't have lost control if it had a better stabilization system.

The papers say the Carrera GT model had "a history of instability and control issues," and the manufacturers were fully aware of that.

The teen's lawyers argue that Porsche should have included its Stability Management System in the vehicle — which is found in a variety of its cars — because it would have stopped the swerving.

But they believe the company left them out of the design on purpose.

The lawsuit also targeted other parts, pointing out that they allowed the car to catch fire. Meadow's team has spoken out, saying Porsche knew the GT wasn't safe enough to be on the road.

Love hurts… but falling out of love hurts even more!

Just ask Giada De Laurentiis, whose divorce to her husband of 12 years Todd Thompson finalized on Thursday afternoon.

The Food Network star and her fashion designer ex have been separated since July 2014, but now we know exactly how they'll be splitting their multi-million dollar fortune(s)!

Apparently, neither of the pair were dependent on the other for money, so everything they owned is being split pretty much down the middle, with Todd getting their $3.2 million Pacific Palisades mansion and his Porsche while Giada will get to keep her car as well as her brand.

But that's where things stop being easy… because the couple reportedly didn't have a prenuptial agreement, so Todd is going to get half the worth of Giada's existing cookbooks.

Luckily, the exes are being perfectly amicable regarding their 7-year-old daughter Jade Marie, and will share joint custody with Giada paying $9,000 a month for child support.

It's sad to see a couple split, but we're sure they know what's for the best.

The Gravity star explained:

"I watch sports, and it kills her… I got her into March Madness a little, I'm a huge Kentucky fan, so she got into that, but it was enough… So the next week was the Masters, and I'm watching that and she goes, ‘So every weekend we're gonna be watching a sporting event?' I'm like, 'Actually that's how it works.'"

However, the megastar does recognize his wife's impeccable style, especially her much lauded Margiela dress she wore at the 2015 Met Gala!

When asked about his time at the fashion-forward event, he said:

All of that money, and the bluetooth isn't hooked up.

Bruce Jenner was recently involved in a fatal accident where it was thought that the Olympian may have been texting. Police are now saying that isn't the case, but Bruce clearly hasn't learned a very important lesson: don't use cell phones while driving!

On Friday, Jenner left the golf course, hopped into a fancy Porsche, and sped away while illegally chatting.

No police caught Bruce, but cameras did, which is just as damning.

You'd think after seeing a person die, the reality TV star would put away the cell phone… but apparently not.
