9-Year-Old Girl Sobs While Addressing Racism & Police Shootings At Charlotte City Council: 'We Are Black People & We Shouldn't Have To Feel Like This'

Zianna Oliphant may be little, but she's got a big voice and a powerful message.

In the wake of Keith Lamont Scott's controversial killing at the hands of a plainclothes officer with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, people took to the streets to protest.

And, on Monday, Charlotte City Council held its first meeting since the demonstrations erupted.

During the meeting, 9-year-old Zianna stood behind the podium, emotionally addressing racism and police shootings before the council, saying:

"I came here today to talk about how I feel, and I feel like we are treated differently than other people. And, I don't like how we're treated just because of our color. Doesn't mean anything to me."

The little girl began to break down, and exclaimed, with tears streaming down her face:

"We are black people and we shouldn't have to feel like this. We shouldn't have to protest because y'all are treating us wrong. We do this because we need to, and have rights."

Through her tears, the inspiring youngster composed herself, and continued:

Former NFL Star Marshawn Lynch Would Rather See Colin Kaepernick Protest The National Anthem Than 'Put His Hands Up & Get Murdered'

no title

Marshawn Lynch just made a very powerful point in support of Colin Kaepernick.

In the wake of Tulsa police fatally shooting unarmed Terence Crutcher, the Seattle Seahawks alum just perfectly defended the quarterback's decision to peacefully protest the National Anthem.

On Tuesday, the retired NFL star joined Conan O'Brien on his late-night show to literally stand up for the San Francisco 49ers player, poignantly saying:

"With what's going on, I'd really rather see him take a knee, than stand up, put his hands up, and get murdered."

So incredibly well-said, while tragically highlighting the serious police profiling problem throughout our country.

The 30-year-old hopes Colin's movement causes a societal shift across the nation, which will make everyone aware of the racism that still exists, and ultimately end it, adding:

"My take on it is, sh*t's gotta start somewhere. And if that was the starting point, I just hope people open up their eyes to see that there's really a problem going on, and something needs to be done for it to stop."

The ex-running back also called out everyone against the athlete's harmless display:

"And, I mean, if you're really not racist, then you won't see what he's doing as a threat to America, but just addressing a problem that we have."

Here Is A Breakdown Of Donald Trump's Terrifying 10-Point Immigration Plan!

no title

Be very afraid.

Donald Trump hasn't exactly kept the fact that he's discriminatory towards practically every minority a secret — in fact, it's his entire platform — but the specifics for his plans when it comes to Mexican immigration are even more terrifying than we could have ever imagined.

Just hours after President of Mexico Enrique Peña Nieto rejected the racist Republican's notions that his country would be paying for the wall at the border, Donald managed to put together a 10-point plan to ensure its erection.

During a rally in Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday, the Presidential candidate laid out the groundwork for his unconstitutional construction, saying, "If rigorously followed and enforced, [it] will accomplish more in a matter of months than our politicians have accomplished on this issue in the last 50 years."

But as if that sentence weren't concerning enough, the rest of his speech was basically a list of bigoted bullet points of how he plans to keep America great again.

This is just the cat's pajamas!

It only took them 35 years… but the musical Cats is officially suitable for everyone now that it no longer features racist lyrics.

Fans of the Broadway classic are probably aware that the song Growltiger's Last Stand regularly causes controversy due to characters Asparagus and Jellylorum singing with stereotypical Asian accents.

Most productions of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical already do away with the disgusting line "With a frightful burst of fireworks the Ch*nks they swarmed aboard," but the 2016 New York revival has reportedly gotten rid of the song entirely!

We bet that'll make Leona Lewis happy!!

Still, we're a little bothered it really took them 35 years to fix it…

Will U be catching Cats now that it's finally opened??
