The troubled actress has been renting a mansion in Beverly Hills since last February for $8,000 a month, and now that the IRS has seized her bank accounts, she's so desperate to pay the bills on time that she's been BEGGING friends to lend her the cash!

And this is AFTER she got the folks at Bravo to spend close to $200,000 renovating the house for an episode of Million Dollar Decorators…and she STILL screwed them by refusing to finish her filming obligations!

Reportedly, the ultimate power couple will be renting out a 31,000-square-foot property for $400,000…just for the month of August!

The house — currently on the market for $43.5 million — is located in Bridgehampton and is known as the Sandcastle!

Included in the rental price? A bowling alley, skateboard half-pipe, a rock-climbing wall, recording studio…along with a 60-foot heated pool, basketball court and an eight-car garage!

Dayum! Talk about never having to leave the house! Ha!

Although we're just relieved that there were no serious injuries, it doesn't sound we'll be getting a straight answer as to what exactly caused Lindsay Lohan's car accident with an 18-wheeler on the PCH this past Friday!

What we do know is this:

The actress was on the way to film Liz & Dick with her assistant in a rented Porsche when she slammed into the back of the truck. They were taken to the hospital and treated more minor cuts and bruises.

While it was initially reported that LiLo wasn't even driving, she later confirmed that she was, and that the accident happened when the truck driver cut her off, a claim he has since denied, and has witnesses to back him up!

Furthermore, he later asserted that the actress' team attempted to bribe him, and even witnessed them trying to hid a "mysterious bag" from him while waiting for the cops!
