Vera Wang's friends have started blabbing to the press about the designer's not so amicable separation from her husband of 23 years Arthur Becker!

According to one friend, the two have been at each other's throats from a while now:

"They used to fight all the time in public, even at dinner. They would berate each other in front of other people, even though it made others uncomfortable. They didn’t get along. But all her staff have been ordered not to talk. There is concern that it doesn’t look good for a wedding-dress designer to get a divorce."

However there are other friends who insist the couple and Vera Wang president Mario Grauso are all still close and will operate in the way they always have when it comes to business.

Unlike the brides she dresses, Vera Wang's marriage doesn't have a happy ending.

After 23 years of marital bliss, the designer and husband Arthur Becker, are separating.

Neither Wang nor Becker commented on the split, but company president Mario Grauso did release a statement:

"Vera Wang and Arthur Becker have mutually and amicably agreed to separate. They remain devoted parents to their two daughters."

Arthur played a pivotal role in taking Vera from a little known designer with a boutique in New York City to a household name, but a friend of the couple insists they will not let the separation "impact the running of the company".

Heidi Klum and Seal's decision to separate was a long time coming according to those close to the couple.

After seven years of marriage, Heidi had enough of Seal's "volcanic temper" and its affect on their four children.
