If you asked us who the last person we'd ever guess would be singing the praises of taking steroids, it would probably be Tom Hanks! We wish he was our cool uncle — why would we EVER assume he takes steroids??

Well he does, but not to bulk up!

On Letterman's show last night (above), Tom opened up his love for steroids… and how they cure the common cold!

Of course, he delivers the story about how he finds this to be a true fact in usual Tom Hanks fashion. He's just so damn charming!

UFC executive, Marc Ratner just attended the Nevada State Athletic Commission's Steroid and Drug Testing Advisory Panel on Thursday, and while they were there to obviously discuss drugs, Ratner went into a spiel about how he thinks marijuana should be treated different from performance-enhancing drugs.

After asking the commission how they administer fighters who test positive for weed, the exec said:

Oscar Pistorius appeared in court today for his bail hearing, and while more shocking details were found in the terrible murder of Reeva Steenkamp, the spokesman for South Africa's National Prosecution Agency, Medupe Simasiku revealed that there had been an error in the evidence that Detective Warrant Officer, Hilton Botha brought to the table.

It's time to lock up Oscar Pistorius for good!

The Olympic athlete took the stand today at the magistrate court in Pretoria, South Africa for his bail hearing, and after police found two boxes of testosterone, steroids and needles in his bedroom… the judge expressed that his lawyers are gonna have to offer "exceptional" reasons to even consider Oscar for bail for the premeditated murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.

With more details coming into play, a neighbor that lives 600 meters away from Pistorius' alleged that two to three shots were fired after hearing an hour-long argument between the hours of 2 A.M. and 3 A.M.

Alex Rodriguez, star baseball player for the New York Yankees did pretty poorly in the playoffs.

But it's not his fault! It was his hip!

The normally stellar slugger was doing so poorly that he was eventually benched!

The doctor who is scheduled to perform A-Rod's hip surgery, Dr. Bryan Kelly, said that the injury was the reason his post-season performance was so bad.

He said:

"I was more surprised that he was able to play at all with a hip that looked like that. Most people would not be able to play with a hip function like this and the imaging that looked like his."

So of course the next question on people's minds was: Did the steroids he admitted to using from 2001 to 2003 cause the problems?

We previously mentioned that the fungal meningitis outbreak is far from over… and sadly, that's been true.

The outbreak has now spread to 19 states and has made 347 people sick!

Rhode Island became the 19th state to report that the outbreak has affected someone.

This is getting ridiculous!

We've said it before but still, we're so thankful that it's not contagious.

Massachusetts health officials are moving to revoke the license of the New England Compounding Center who's contaminated medications started this whole outbreak.

We think something fundamental needs to change in the compounding pharmacy industry so that something like this never happens again.

Dr. Rydze, a former doctor for the Pittsburgh Steelers, is in trouble after buying a suspiciously large quantity of anabolic steroids!

Hmm… a football doctor buying tons of steroids? We wonder what those were for…

Maybe a game of medical darts where you use the butts of NFL players as a target and instead of just pulling the "dart" out of the "dartboard" you push down on the plunger first.

Repeat this every few weeks for a fun doctor game/great football season.

We're just joking though, because the feds don't list the team or any of its players as having gotten any of the illegal substances.

We guess drug testing in the NFL is too rigorous.
