Well that's a bummer…

We were a little shocked when we read So You Think You Can Dance ep/judge Nigel Lythgoe's tweets Sunday night. He announced the news via the blue bird, but he didn't actually give the bird to FOX.

In fact, he was very classy about it, tweeting:

Step Up 4 has been given a release date of July 27, 2012.

The fourth entry in the series stars SYTYCD dancer Kathryn McCormick and newcomer Ryan Guzman.

She won season 8 of FOX's So You Think You Can Dance last night!

So excited, she tweeted:
