Donald Trump Is ALREADY Risking A Major Dispute With China — Here's What He Did Last Night

no title

Well, Donald Trump won't take office for another six or so weeks, and he's already risking a pretty significant diplomatic dispute with one of the more important countries in the world: China.

The President-elect on Friday night startled the international community when he spoke on the phone with the President of Taiwan — and while that may not sound like a big deal to those not in the know, that marks the first time a U.S. politician has spoken with a Taiwanese leader since 1979.

What the what?!

It's a complicated history, but basically, it all goes back to '79 and President Jimmy Carter, who severed diplomatic relations with the island and installed a "One China" policy, recognizing only the government in Beijing as the one, true China.

Every President since — from Ronald Reagan, to both Bushes, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama — has followed the policy.

Now, Trump already has broken from it, and the consequences could be dire, because the general feeling is that China is PISSED at this development.

Trump, tweeting away on Friday, obviously doesn't see the big deal in his phone call (below):

No Disney princess could fit her gams in this thing!

A church in Taiwan has built a 55-foot high glass slipper — clearly modeled loosely off the one in Cinderella — that they are using to… attract more women?!

Seriously!

The slipper, pictured above, is made of 320 tinted glass panels and cost the church well over half a million bucks to put together, but they're doing it to try to attract attention for pre-wedding photo shoots and wedding ceremonies!

Pan Tsuei-ping, an administrator with a local tourist organization that came up with the idea to build the VERY high heel, told reporters:

The boy was at an exhibit at a museum in Taipei, when his foot caught on a corner and he stumbled, losing his balance.

As he began to fall, he stuck his hand right through a Paolo Porpora painting called Flowers, which is (was?) valued at $1.5 million!!

Ch-ch-check out the crazy moment (below)!!!

Katy Perry's Sunflower Boobs Stir Up Political Controversy Between China And Taiwan!

Katy Perry's sunflower dress causes controversy.

How could something as sweet as a sunflower cause controversy?

Alas, it can!

One of Katy Perry outfits worn during her Prismatic World Tour has caused division among her fans in China and Taiwan.

The sunflower-adorned costume (above) — which features sunflowers right on Katy's boobs, of course — has been interpreted by some as a pro-Taiwanese message and a show of solidarity for the Sunflower Student Movement.

The Sunflower Student Movement was a student-led protest against the passing of the Cross-Strait Service Trade Agreement (an economic treaty meant to make trade between mainland China and Taiwan easier) that occurred from March 18 to April 10, 2014.

[ Related: Katy Sure Turned Heads In THIS Costume ]

Consequently, the protest movement celebrated its one-year anniversary just a few weeks ago, which makes the timing of this sunflower ensemble all the more significant.

Considering that Katy also wore the flag of Taiwan (which was given to her by an audience member) as a cape during a performance in Taipei two days ago, it makes sense that some people would find her use of sunflowers to be a further statement in support of Taiwan's independence from China.
