My, what big horns you will have!

A newborn Texas longhorn is prancing about at the Queens Zoo. The energetic calf was born at 60 pounds to mama Joan in early May.

A staple in the Southwest, longhorns' horns can be as wide a 6 FEET from tip to tip.

Reminds us to not to get into a fight with this guy!

Hope is the perfect name for this pit bull…it's the only thing she had left.

Rufus the Norwich Terrier is quite an amazing dog.

He's also super cute.

He helped Texas police track down a notorious burglar by finding DNA evidence on some jewelry the burglar hid in some bushes.

The police eventually caught the man and Rufus is now a local hero.

Way to go, Rufus!

A true testament to just how loyal an animal companion can be!

Check out this remarkable story of a Texas toddler who wandered away from her grandmother's house and was lost in the woods for six hours, only to be protected by the family's pet pit bull, Brownie, who didn't leave her side until she was rescued by the search party looking for them (above)!

We know that that specific breed of dog can be considered aggressive and, in some sad cases, even dangerous, but it's clear from this how high their capacity is for love, affection, and protection - and all for a child as young as three!

We couldn't be more thrilled that the little one was found safe and sound, and is back with her family.

Brownie certainly deserves a belly rub and delicious treat for dinner tonight!

A man in Texas was spotted by a neighbor as he was stabbing his puppy!!

How horrible!

What a terrible person.

The neighbor screamed at him to stop but when he started to approach them, they ran inside and called the cops.

The police showed up and found the puppy in a dumpster.

The cops took the dog to an animal hospital where life saving surgery was performed.

The man was forcibly removed from his home and taken to jail on $25,000 bail.
