The move will made in conjunction with the people who own Star Wars - Disney - and the announcement was made this past Thursday when the AH-mazing new trailer dropped!
Here's what one VP-Marketing for Lucasfilm said:
"We're excited to be involved in this collaboration with ANA, one of the world's leading 5-star airlines. We're proud of the innovative R2-D2 design, and we look forward to witnessing the first-ever flight of a passenger aircraft featuring a Star Wars character. We're confident that Star Wars fans around the world will absolutely love this design."
Seriously, how cool would it be to ride in an airplane that has the likeness of R2-D2!
Way better than if it was C-3PO! That guy never shuts up!
Check out a video of how the airplane will be down (below) !!!
Alaska Airlines has a PR nightmare on their hands after one of their plane's flight crews refused to let a woman with cancer fly… because she allegedly didn't have a doctor's note!
The woman's name is Elizabeth Sedway and she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma a few years ago.
But she never experienced getting kicked off a plane for having cancer before. We wish that was STILL the case, but it isn't: reportedly, she and her family had to through that very scenario past Monday when trying to board a plane for California from Hawaii.
Elizabeth shared the whole incident on her Facebookwhere she wrote:
We really hope Indiana ends up losing some tourism income over this.
We told you about how Governor Mike Pence, pictured above, passed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act that would allow businesses to discriminate against people on the basis of faith, which was clearly targeting the LGBT community.
Well, it seems like Arkansas didn't like that Indiana was getting all of the publicity, because they went ahead and passed a similar bill on Tuesday.
Luckily, not every law maker wants to limit their citizens' rights, because the Mayor of Seattle and Governor of Washington made a move of their own!
