As this year’s nominees were announced today, in addition to those of the Critics’ Choice Television Awards, we’re happy to report that Twilight: Breaking Dawn and the Smoldering Vampire Diaries received the highest number of nods!

We can’t wait to see Bella, Edward and the Elena-Damon-Stefan trifecta duke this one out on August 11th! We're also not-so-secretly rooting for Justin Timberlake — granted, not a vampire, but one hunk of a man. Who's to say his face isn't marble perfection?!

Just when we start to worry about True Blood (showrunners keep leaving) they go and do something inspired like this — they hired two VERY sexy people for their cast!

Do you remember Karolina Wydra? She was on House (she played Dominika the green card wife), so she knows the TV ropes already and can hit the ground running as Violet:

Much to the dismay of many devastated Twi-hards, Stephenie Meyer is taking a much needed break from vampires and werewolves and has moved on to bigger and better things.

This week’s show took a major bite out of the ratings as it had an audience of 2.9 million — a 26% increase — which helped it beat ABC and NBC.

But we're not surprised. Helloooo… vampires RULE!!

And we’re pretty damn sure that success is going to continue because the blood sucking craziness has just started!

As if The Vampire Diaries could get more shocking after — SPOILER ALERT!!! — the deadly cliffhanger involving Elena’s brother, Jeremy!

Well, it looks like the CW show is trying to top itself, and in a big way!

"One guest star and many co-star roles are being cast for it. The guest star part is a 50-year-old woman named Beverly Hutt who was a friend of Sookie/Jason's parents and answers their questions about them. The co-star roles are: Young Beverly Hutt, 30 year old, (seen in a flashback), 4 mischievous/silly faerie girls (who are younger versions of 4 faeries as seen in a flashback), a 30-to-50-year-old hospital nurse who attempts to calm a patient, 8-year-old Sookie (also seen in a flashback), and 2 Caddo Parish sheriff deputies who visit Sam at his home."

Hmm… what oh what will these origins bring us??

Hopefully more sex scenes!

Something tells us this evil old vampire that took Sookie's parents away could very well be her biggest battle yet. But will Bill be cured by then? Or will Eric save the day??

OR… NOW CALL US CRAZY… BUT WHAT IF… Sookie saved HER own day for HERSELF! *gasp* Now there's a thought!
