She may have been born in Cali, but her look is totes East Coast!

Ashley Olsen stepped out for a stroll in NYC on Saturday looking like a quintessential New Yorker in head-to-toe black.

With her Ray-Bans obscuring half of her face, the fashion mogul seemed unperturbed by the paps, looking cute and casual in her A.L.C. top, Pencey cardigan, J Brand skinnies, and comfy Vans slip-ons.

The 26-year-old completed the look with pulled back hair and a very sensible Brahmin weekender tote.

Inneresting.

If we were her, we'd be taking advantage of our easy access to that infamous pill-popper bag from The Row.

Okay, true, Kristen Stewart may be wearing Vans in the pic (above), but you have admit, she has quite the obsession with Converse shoes.

We were always under the assumption that she wanted to look too-cool-for-school in her black and white Chucks, but it turns out there's actually a reason why the young actress opts for comfort.

Aww! They even shop together!

One Directioners, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik, all went shopping at Urban Outfitters on Melrose in El Lay on Saturday.

They were missing Harry Styles and Liam Payne though! Sad!

Niall was flossin’ in his Vans, Ray-Ban wayfarers and Links of London Friendship bracelet. Aww! BFFs forevs!

Louis also wore Vans, but one-upped Niall with his beanie.

Zayn went with a chic all-black look. So rock’n’roll of him!

They could wear nothing and look good! In fact, we’re hoping they bought invisible shirts. LOLz!

Miley Cyrus' boob was caught out in the open on Tuesday when she was spotted leaving a Pilates class.

Listen up sneaker geeks!

Vans is setting up a pop-up shop with Austin's Nice Kicks at the SXSW music festival this month and they're bringing some limited-edition shoes with them.

From March 13th-18th Vans will release different pairs of shoes from five of their most popular music collaborations.

The special kicks will only be available at the Vulcanized Vinyl pop-up shop, so if you're in town stop by!

Kristen Stewart is one of the many celebrities ambassadors for this year's Vans Custom Culture competition.

Each ambassador was asked to design a pair of custom sneakers that would inspire the 400+ high school art classes competing for the $50,000 grand prize and this is what she came up with.

Wow. KStew put a lot of effort into her design, didn't she?

The mastermind of Vans Shoes, James Van Doren, has unfortunately passed away at the age of 72.

He died from a long affliction with cancer, but leaves a legacy of fashion greatness behind.

Vans, the shoe of the skater, is known for it's trademark waffle sole. This feature makes it almost impossible for a skater to slip off his board. It's also just pretty cool.

James' nephew, Steve Van Doren remembers him:

He was a mechanic, a chemist, the brains behind the early shoe. In his garage, he made all the molds for the very first soles.

Vans gained widespread popularity when they were featured on Sean Penn's feet in Fast Times At Ridgemont High.

Now everyone wears them, from SoCal skaters to Upper East Side rappers.
