No, we're not describing some 80s horror B-movie.

A "bone worm" or "zombie worm" is a worm in the genus Osedax that uses bone melting acid to eat the skeletons of water mammals!!

Researchers at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography have been studying how the worms use their bone destroying acid to get at the delicious nutrients inside.

Robert Kirkman is the man who created The Walking Dead comic books that were later adapted into the incredible AMC show of the same name.

One of the more inneresting questions that came up was: why aren't there any zombie animals on the show??

It got us thinking… yeah, why no zombie dogs or squirrels or birds or something?

Was it about the virus being only in humans? Or animals being too fast?

Nope! It's much simpler and funnier than that!

PETA's first ever Halloween ad is DEFINITELY a hell-raiser!

RuPaul's Drag Race winnner Sharon Needles was tapped by the organization to channel its ghouly message.

The main message behind the ad asks future and present "zombies" to go vegan if chomping down on flesh tastes so gross.

They do bring up a good point here!

Zombies!!!!!!

Michael Daniel (really?) was probably a normal guy who smoked drugs before he got his hands on spice, or synthetic marijuana.

The 22 year old from Texas smoked spice at his home and that's when all kinds of cray cray started!

Transformed into a flesh stealing zombie, Daniel attacked his family, neighbors, before finally grabbing the family dog.

Daniel beat and choked the dog mercilessly before biting chucks out of it…

While it was STILL ALIVE! Sadly, the dog did not survive the attack

Police arrived on the scene to see Daniel's face and shirt covered in blood. They took the "zombie" to the hospital, and Daniel will be arrested for felony animal abuse.

STAY AWAY FROM SPICE, KIDS!!!!!!!!

Most people have heard of the Japanese delicacy Puffer fish, or fugu.

It is a fish that is so poisonous (1200 times more poisonous than cyanide) that it can only be prepared by a chef with at least two years of training.

The fish is infamous for killing Bandō Mitsugorō VIII, a famous japanese actor, who ordered four fugu livers (the most poisonous part) because he knew the poison wouldn't hurt him (because he was so awesome).

He died seven hours later.

A researcher even claims that the fugu poison can zombify a person by making them appear dead and then eliminate higher brain function and then have them come out of their "death" coma. Arising as a zombie.

Not many people actually believe that though.

The main reason it seems that people eat fugu, is because it gets you high.

While high doses of the fugu's neurotoxin slowly paralyze you until you slip into a coma and die, small small small doses give you a tingling, light headed calm that can only be achieved in the last few seconds before drowning.

That all sounds way too intense to feel a high like that.

We'll stick to hardcore drugs, thank you very much.

We are OBVIOUSLY joking about the drugs.

But seriously, the best high is basically almost dying? No thanks.

That's why they are now breeding fugu that don't develop the toxin.

This has connoisseurs everywhere up in arms that anyone can now prepare and serve these "harmless" fugu.

It's all about the danger!

If you're into almost dying for a piece of bland fish.

We DO NOT recommend anyone tries fugu. Or even gets near fugu.

Matter of fact, don't even look at pictures of fugu to be safe.

A new study unveiled the discovery of a virus that takes contorl of caterpillar's brains.

Once the virus has control it makes them climb to the treetops, then liquifies their bodies.

Their liquid body then pours down onto the ground, infecting all the lower leaves with the virus, ensuring the spread of the virus.

A researcher said that:

"[The virus] ends up using just about all of the caterpillar to make more virus, and there are other genes in the virus that then make the caterpillar melt. So it becomes a pool of millions of virus particles that end up dropping onto the foliage below where it can infect other moths that eat those leaves."

“Zombification” has been seen in insects before but usually because of a fungus, not a virus.

And we all know what viruses can do.

Mutate then spread to humans!

Srsly though, don’t worry, the virus only infects invertebrates…

…for now.
