99 years old and doing the world an amazing service — how’s that latte you stood an hour in line for this morning? Worth it?
Lillian Weber from Iowa has made over 840 dresses – from scratch – for a Christian nonprofit group called Little Dresses for Africa, which “provides relief to the children of Africa.”
Lillian has made a DRESS A DAY for a young girl in Africa, and she admits that she enjoys doing the charitable work so much that she wakes up everyday looking forward to her day. Something that is NOT a given at 99-years-old!
Here’s what she said about the work:
“It is just what I like to do.”
And although she admits that she ├óΓé¼┼ôcould probably make two a day, but [I] only make one,” she’s does so because she wants to make sure that each dress she makes is extra special and each outfit is given an extra little personal touch!
We love this lady!
And even when she hits that 1000th dress, don’t expect Lillian to stop! She said:
“When I get to that thousand, if I’m able to. I won’t quit. I’ll go at it again because there’s no reason to not do nothing.”
That would be one ah-mazing accomplishment! Hitting age 100-years-old and making your 1000th dress?
Lillian Weber is the epitome of someone getting better with age!
