Christina Aguilera likes the ladies!
In a recent interview with the U.K magazine Company, Xtina steps away from talking about her horrid music to discuss her body image and the image of women everywhere. In the midst of that, she let this fun little tidbit slip:
“I feel sexuality to be very empowering. I think men love to believe that they own our sexuality, so if a woman represents herself in a sexual way, people think, ‘Oh it must be for a man.’ But men don’t have the right to own our sexuality. If I want to be sexual, it’s for my own appreciation and enjoyment! That’s why I like to talk about the fact that sometimes I am attracted to women. I appreciate their femininity and beauty.”
We’re sure there are loads of ladies who are happy to hear you say that!
How very progressively lezzie feminist of you! But don’t call her that (or the other thing) because Xtina isn’t into labels. She’s her own person. An individual. No labels.
