Aw! This is so sweet!
Jennifer Lopez showed love to Nikki Glaser after the comedian stood up for her amid a TON of criticism over the summer! Back in June — just weeks after rumors that J.Lo and Ben Affleck were on the verge of divorce started making headlines — Nikki appeared on The Zach Sang Show. There, she expressed her newfound love for the singer after “years” of being a hater. She gushed:
“I saw The Greatest Love Story Never Told and I watched it, to like, feed my feeling that I already had about her, but it dismantled it.”
Jennifer’s documentary was WIDELY slammed, so the fact that it actually changed Nikki’s POV on the artist is so interesting! Maybe J.Lo was on to something by making the vulnerable film??

After watching the doc and seeing the musical movie This Is Me… Now twice, Nikki was ALL IN on Lopez! So much so that she was then devastated to learn that the Let’s Get Loud vocalist canceled her tour! Glaser remarked at the time:
“I’m like, so team J.Lo. I’m sad her tour is canceled. It was so funny, my boyfriend sent me the news that her tour is canceled ‘cause he knew what a J.Lo head I’d become overnight — literally overnight.”
Hah! The film also made the stand-up star rethink her comedy special, Someday You’ll Die, which was supposed to include a segment about the Marry Me lead! Nikki revealed:
“I was gonna do a whole bit in my special about how we shouldn’t trust anything she sells us because she’s so hot, she wants us to be ugly, so don’t use her skincare.”
Hah!! After becoming a fan of Jennifer, she realized that the segment felt “mean for no reason” and she cut it. Whoa! See her hot take at the time (below):
This interview seemingly got back to the actress, then, because just a few short weeks later, she sent Nikki a thank you gift! Very kind!
In a clip that has just now resurfaced, Nikki took to her TikTok in mid-July to share the surprising package she received from the Shotgun Wedding lead, telling fans:
“I just came home to a bunch of packages that I hadn’t opened and I was just casually opening it. I thought, ‘When did I order JLo Beauty?’ Maybe someone knows that I love her and sent this to me. And someone does. And it’s J.Lo.”
Inside the JLo Beauty Skincare package was a note from the Hustlers alum, saying:
“I heard your interview. I know it’s easy to go along with the crowd and I appreciate you speaking your truth. I respect your strength and humor. Here’s a little something for your feet.”
Nikki joked:
“She knows I have bunions, too, probably.”
LOLz! The letter concluded with the mother of two wishing the performer well, saying, “Wishing you the best, always. Jennifer.” Wow! What a generous thing to do — especially when she was at the center of hate from pretty much the whole internet and dealing with a heartbreaking split!
The acknowledgment meant the world to FBoy Island host, who gushed:
“I will love you forever, and not just because of this [gift] but this is just like a testament to how cool you are. I love you. You’re awesome. Thank you so much.”
She then showed her puppy the gift, revealing that she was considering the name “J.Lo” for the doggo. Hah! She’s such a fan! See (below):

As mentioned, this all happened over the summer at the height of Jennifer’s love life scandal. Back in May, she appeared at the Met Gala solo, and soon it was uncovered that the Good Will Hunting star had moved into a rental house. The singer and Affleck spent the summer largely apart from one another, and then Jennifer finally filed for divorce last month. However, recently, the exes appear to be getting very friendly again — so it’s hard to know where they stand these days!
Aside from the romance controversy, J.Lo was also facing a career crisis over the summer as fans blasted her This Is Me… Now movie musical and the subsequent doc, which seemed to cause relationship problems. Her album flopped and her Netflix film at the time wasn’t highly reviewed. Everything was going terribly. No wonder she was so pleased to hear someone FINALLY sticking up for her at the time!!
It says a lot that Lopez sent this gift privately. Like, it honestly meant so much to her and she didn’t need to get the credit for doing something nice amid the negativity. Love that! Reactions?? Sound OFF (below)!
