Taylor Swift feels so safe with Travis Kelce!
As Perezcious readers know, the couple have weathered quite a few storms over the past year. Taylor and Travis dealt with an alleged stalker who made threats against them before her Eras Tour show in Germany over the summer. A 17-year-old allegedly attacked thirteen people in a mass stabbing at a Taylor Swift-themed event in the UK. Three of those victims — 9-year-old Alice Aguiar, 7-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe, and 6-year-old Bebe King — passed away. Her Vienna shows were canceled due to a terrorist plot. Fortunately, the authorities found out about the plans before someone got hurt.

All of this was happening while Travis and Taylor navigated long-distance at times. It was a difficult few months. However, they came out of it stronger than ever — especially Tay. A source close to the pop star’s inner circle told Page Six on Saturday:
“Something people don’t really understand — and that’s by design — is how much courage Taylor has.”
Truly. We can imagine she was terrified and struggled after all of these incidents. But through it all, she had Travis in her corner. He’s even proven himself to be the perfect “protector.” The insider shared that during the turmoil, the football player has given her “a tremendous sense of peace,” adding:
“Just his physical presence. She feels safer with him than anyone she’s ever known; she knows he would do anything for her and physically she feels protected by him, and she loves that feeling. It’s a relatively new one for her, relationship-wise. Travis is her protector in every sense of the word. He is going to make sure she is physically safe, and emotionally safe — he is not going to do anything careless or reckless with her.”
Even Taylor is not risking her safety! She won’t show up at any of her boyfriend’s away games this season since she doesn’t feel safe at venues other than Arrowhead Stadium:
“She’s not going anywhere unless she knows the venue intimately and it has been thoroughly scouted and secured in advance.”
Can you blame her for being very precautious? In addition to the scary situations over the summer, she has faced a lot of hate online – even long before her endorsement of Kamala Harris. The insider explained:
“Announcing her endorsement of Kamala was insanely brave, and continuing to go on stage after Vienna was insanely brave. But if you watch what happened with Nick Jonas the other night, that is a perfect example of what is going on in the back of Taylor’s mind all the time.”
As we previously reported, Nick Jonas bolted off the stage in the middle of the Jonas Brothers concert in Prague after noticing a laser pointing at him. What the laser could have been coming from is terrifying. It’s a fear so many artists, including Taylor, have, especially these days. As the source pointed out, before her endorsement of the vice president:
“The vitriol was out of control. Just look at how some football fans behaved when all she was doing was sitting in a suite watching a game, with no control over how often the cameras cut to her.”
With all of that in mind, she’s sticking to venues her security detail knows and is thoroughly prepared for. So fair! Despite this, another source mentioned she will see Travis as much as possible — perhaps even more than ever before as she has fewer tour dates than last year!
