Alex Cooper Breaks Silence On Rumored 'Marital Issues' With Matt Kaplan - Why She Was Happy About The Speculation At First!

As Perezcious readers know, amid her feud with Alix Earle, reports broke that there was major trouble at her Unwell company, which was supposedly creating a TON of “tension” in her marriage. Then the bombshell dropped: she’s pregnant! It’s been a wild ride, and now the podcaster is breaking her silence.

During Wednesday’s episode of Call Her Daddy, the host opened up about her pregnancy journey and touched on those upsetting reports!

Reflecting on the 2026 YouTube Upfronts, which the couple attended last month, she said her biggest worry was people speculating at her bun in the oven before she’d announced it. Unexpectedly, the relationship rumors actually came in handy! She explained:

“The only rumors that actually came from the carpet were just how miserable my husband and I looked. To see people overanalyzing Matt and me as we were earnestly trying to hide this pregnancy, I was so relieved that they were talking about our dynamic, our supposed marital issues, and no one was talking about a potential bump.”

She teased:

“It was a win for the Cooper-Kaplans that day.”

The media personality was able to laugh it off because she insists there’s no trouble in paradise:

“You read those things, and Matt and I are like, no one in our life, our closest friends, our family, is wondering those things.”

But reports like that do come with downsides. She continued:

“It is crazy to see the internet be like, ‘Oh my God, they’re on the rocks.’ And we’re like, ‘Wait, wait. We are? What’s happening?’ I think that is an odd part of the job that I don’t enjoy.”

She told fans not to worry about their marriage, saying they are “great.” Well, that’s good, especially with a baby on the way!!
