Jason Sudeikis is reportedly fuming over Olivia Wilde‘s latest candid comments!
Earlier this week, the film director opened up about her love life in an honest chat on Call Her Daddy — covering everything from the challenges of dating Harry Styles to what the final straw in her romance with Jason was! And it’s the latter that’s not sitting right with the Ted Lasso star.
A source told Rob Shuter‘s Naughty But Nice Substack on Thursday:
“Jason is incredibly private and was shocked to see this story resurface years later. His first thought was their children. One day they’ll read these interviews, and that’s what hurts the most.”
Oof.

The couple shares two kids, Otis, 12, and Daisy, 9. We totally understand how difficult it is to raise kids in the public eye and have to worry about what they’ll one day read as they get older. And yet… if she’s telling the truth, then clearly she’s thought about it and has made the decision they deserve to eventually know why their parents split, right?
In the podcast, Olivia claimed that she realized the relationship was over after leaving a birthday party and pointing out that Jason hadn’t gotten her anything. His response?
“What would I get you, Olivia? I don’t even know you.”
Brutal.
But another insider said their friends believe the whole story lacked necessary context:
“The narrative makes it sound like Jason simply checked out of the relationship. People close to them remember a far more complicated situation.”
Sources also pointed out that the actress linked up with Harry Styles shortly after the split — something that made their separation way more high-profile than it may have been originally. AKA they’re trying to put all the blame on Olivia! Another insider dished:
“Jason and those closest to him feel the real story is being overlooked. From their perspective, everything changed when Olivia fell for Harry.”
But regardless of the past drama, Jason supposedly just wants to focus on co-parenting and moving past this:
“Jason has spent years rebuilding his life. He doesn’t understand why old wounds need to be reopened when everyone involved is trying to move on.”
It’s gotta suck to relive the breakup again. But she can speak her truth and he can manage his reaction to it. He doesn’t have to focus on it, right? No one’s making him!
