Keke Palmer Says Chemistry With Sean Evans Is 'Genuine' - But Calls Out Fans For Getting Too 'Parasocial' About Them!

Keke Palmer feels the chemistry between her and Sean Evans just like everyone else! But she needs fans to cool it!

As you know, people have been begging and pleading for the pair to date ever since the Hot Ones host admitted he had a “crush” on the actress in November 2023! They even kissed on his show in 2025! However, they never gave things a real shot… until this year! In May, Sean appeared on the Baby, This is Keke Palmer podcast, where the intense sparks between them flew! Social media users couldn’t contain their excitement, questioning if something was finally happening between them. The rumors only intensified when Keke and Sean were spotted out together at the Italian restaurant Lucali in Brooklyn in June. The actress then confirmed they were “hanging out.”

And while fans are ready for them to live happily ever after together, Keke is in no rush — no matter how “genuine” their chemistry is! She addressed her connection with Sean on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle on Monday following their date, saying:

“Our chemistry is genuine… I couldn’t force that if I tried. We always felt that chemistry. It’s life. Essentially, we met at work. We had chemistry. Work husband, work wife. You just have that chemistry with people. Then, we hang out.”

Hopefully, they are still hanging out…

When asked about the online reaction to their connection, Keke joked:

“I was gagged that everybody was ready to marry me off. Guys, let it cook! They married your girl off in two seconds!”

LOLz! All joking aside, Keke stressed she is not letting “parasocial” fans determine what happens with Sean:

“I don’t let it define the way that I think. If anything, I’m always trying to contextualize things. A lot of times I feel like people get that about me. You can’t just take everything at face value. You have to be critically thinking about everything you see.”

Keke didn’t give an update on where things stand with Sean at the moment. However, we learned over the weekend that the 40-year-old social media personality is still actively on the celebrity dating app Raya.
