Whoa.
The French Chess Federation has accused its own players of cheating during last year’s Chess Olympiad in Russia.
The players accused of cheating are grandmasters Sébastien Feller, ranked No. 5 in France, Arnaud Hauchard, No. 16, and Cyril Marzolo, an international master, who is ranked No. 46.
So far, there are no details about how the players may have cheated, but it’s a pretty big deal for a national federation to accuse its own players of cheating.
Yikes. We’re curious to find out how these players cheated and how the federation found out.
Thoughts?
