Kim Kardashian wore millions of dollars worth of jewelry to a Paris courtroom on Tuesday to testify about the horrifying robbery she endured nearly a decade ago in the French city. And according to at least one insider, that entire thing was completely by design.
So, on Tuesday, the SKIMS mogul showed up to court wearing a truly stunning diamond necklace along with a ringlet, an anklet, and cuff earrings. The outfit was shocking for multiple reasons — in no small part because the trial is, of course, focused on a terrifying jewelry robbery Kim endured in Paris back in 2016.

Following Kim’s eye-catching public appearance at court this week, some experts reported that she was wearing millions of dollars in jewelry in the appearance.
Heck, her necklace alone supposedly came in at a whopping $3 million:

And other experts took it even further. A source close to the SKKN By Kim maven told DailyMail.com that the reality TV veteran was rocking around $6 million TOTAL in jewelry across all the pieces adorning her body.
Holy s**t…
But here’s the thing: that decision was completely deliberate. And not only that, but it served as a secret message of sorts — even while hiding in plain sight. An insider told the DM that the jewelry was meant to be a calculated “f**k you” to the men accused of committing the scary robbery against her nine years ago. The insider explained:
“It’s not about the jewels. She wore them on purpose to say that they didn’t really steal anything from her. She has built back and she’s living a good life now. You could say that it was a total ‘f**k you’ to them.”
According to the insider, Kim considered several different pieces before ultimately deciding on the diamond necklace that wowed the world. They noted:
“This was an act of defiance. Don’t forget those a**holes terrorized her. She’s not about to let them change what she wears, or how she expresses herself.”
Not a bad move, honestly…

And yet there’s also a serious element of forgiveness on Kim’s part here, too. According to the BBC and others, when Kim took the stand on Tuesday to provide testimony of her experiences during that horrific robbery nearly a decade ago, she had an interesting exchange with one of the defendants.
At one point, a statement was read out loud that had been written by defendant Aomar Aït Khedache following his 2017 arrest on the robbery charges. Khedache, who is now 69 years old, is one of only two defendants of the ten on trial who has openly admitted his guilt in court. And in the statement read by a court official on Tuesday, he apologized to Kim:
“I am sorry for the pain I caused you, your husband, your children and those who love you. Of course you can’t undo the past but I hope this letter will help you forget the trauma you endured because of me.”
Per NBC News, as the letter was being read out loud there at the Palais de Justice, Kim began to cry.
When the judge asked the 44-year-old if she wished to share a response, she said:
“I’m obviously emotional about it, this experience changed my life and it changed my family’s life. But I do also fight for victims who have been through horrific crimes and want to be heard and understood.”
Then, she turned to Aomar — who was sitting nearby in court — and said directly to him:
“I do appreciate the letter, I forgive you for what has taken place, but it doesn’t change the emotion and the feelings and the trauma the way my life is forever changed.”
Wow.
Such a powerful move to forgive him for such a horrific ordeal. In the end, the DM‘s insider said that forgiveness was also a very purposeful act to help her get past the ordeal:
“She has been dreading this day for a long time, but also looking forward to it. This is her way of putting things behind her. And she was gracious and forgave them.”
But nevertheless, the insider also continued on with one last jab at the accused robbers:
“But there’s another side to that. She was wearing those jewels to say, ‘I’m facing you, and you mean nothing to me. I won’t think of you again when I leave this courtroom and you’re rotting in jail.'”
Dayum…
