We all know about John Lennon. He was the rebellious, say whats on your mind leader.

Paul McCartney was the poetic, pretty one.

And Ringo Starr? Crazy drummer.

But what about George Harrison? The quiet one. What do most people know about him?

He didn’t make headlines as much as the other Beatles did, but that didn’t mean his talent or intrigue was any less remarkable.

Martin Scorsese knows that, and that’s why he’s been working on a film project with Harrison’s widow for HBO.

The two parter, which airs on October 5-6, chronicles George’s life from the beginnings in Liverpool to the end when he was an accomplished musician, philanthropist, and filmmaker.

Fans and new audiences will enjoy photographs and home movies never seen before.

In George Harrison: Living in the Material World, interviews with Paul, Ringo, and Yoko Ono as well as others close to the Beatle like Tom Petty and Phil Spector will coincide with the late artist’s collections.
