Respect!
Aretha Franklin may have already been honored by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, but come this fall, she’ll be honored in their American Music Master series.
The weeklong celebration will kick off Oct. 31 at Case Western Reserve University and will include an all-day symposium that will end with an all-star tribute concert on Nov. 5. Celebs are sure to come out and honor the Queen, but names have yet to be announced.
Aretha released a statement saying that she was “thrilled and delighted” to be honored and added that she plans to take part in the festivities.
This is a huge honor! We couldn’t think of a more deserving recipient. Congrats, Aretha!
