We’d be lying if we said we weren’t really forward to this!
Now that the long-awaited second sequel to Bridget Jones’s Diary is officially in the works, and Renee Zellweger and Colin Firth are confirmed, the latter actor, otherwise known as Mr. Darcy in the series, opened up about the project, and says that working on the flicks is like a “fraught family reunion!”
He explains:
“It does become a bit of a family at the time, it’ll be like one of those rather fraught family reunions at Christmas. There’s a script. This character has obviously inhabited part of my life. I’m always interested to see where it’s taken, and it does look as if it’s going somewhere interesting.”
Oh! We certainly hope so!
Now we just need to ensure that a) Hugh Grant returns as Daniel Cleaver, and b) that Renee’s fat suit doesn’t look RIDICULOUS, seeing as she won’t be gaining the weight naturally this time!
Not that we blame her! It can’t be good for her body to yo-yo back and forth like that!
