Kanye West is taking the fact that he’s not nominated for album or record of the year at the Grammys this year in stride — which seems a little off to us.
Ye’s been known to overreact to award decisions, even those that don’t involve him (ask Taylor Swift), so it’s kinda refreshing to hear his calm thoughts on why he thinks he was left off the best album/record categories, despite leading with 7 noms in other areas:
├óΓé¼┼ôSomething I figured out early today ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ because you know, everybody came up to me last night like, ├óΓé¼╦£Congratulations!├óΓé¼Γäó because you know I├óΓé¼Γäóm leading the Grammy nominations this year. Like we always do it this time. But, people focus, they say ├óΓé¼╦£You ain├óΓé¼Γäót got album of the year or record of the year.├óΓé¼Γäó But I figured out, that├óΓé¼Γäós my fault for dropping Watch the Throne and Dark Fantasy the same year. I should have just spaced it out a little bit more. But don├óΓé¼Γäót worry, because me and Hov gon├óΓé¼Γäó keep on making shit.”
We’re not exactly sure that’s why he wasn’t nominated, but at least he isn’t going nuts over it!
Though, we’re actually surprised with the rest of the fans out there that he wasn’t nominated. Dark Fantasy was extremely acclaimed!
