Well, this must be a HUGE relief to her!
Russell Brand‘s lawyer officially filed the final papers for his divorce from Katy Perry yesterday, and although the pair did not have a pre-nup in place – which means that he could make off with $20 million of her money if he exercised his community property rights – the comedian apparently will NOT be taking any of it!
A source explains:
“This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch (Yiddish for a good person).”
Phew!
We’re sure this whole process has been difficult enough for them both, so we’re glad that they’re choosing to take the high road and just move forward with as few more complications as possible!
