Mercedes-Benz is upping their sex appeal!
The luxury automobile company has tapped German model Julia Stegner to face their new SLS AMG campaign. In case you aren’t familiar with Julia’s work, she’s walked the runway for the likes of Chlo├â┬⌐, Dolce & Gabbana, Escada, Guerlain, Dior, Hugo Boss, and Victoria’s Secret. The ad, shot by photog great Nick Knight, pictures the model wearing Gareth Pugh garb sprawled across the newly-unveiled SLS AMG.
For some reason, the ad doesn’t really do it for us. It has all the right parts – sexy car, sexy model, prolific photographer, designer duds – and yet we don’t really see how it promotes the car. Who is the ad aimed for? Why does Julia look superimposed onto to car in such an awkward manner?
Maybe we’re just tough critics. What do you think??
