This is why we LOVE and will always love Cher!
Now that the music legend knows who Amanda Bynes is, she won’t be throwing anymore shade her way, even though the troubled starlet called her “ugly” and a “flop” in one of her strings of Twitter rants.
In fact, Cher not only understands how “rough” it is for Amanda in the harsh spotlight, but all of young Hollywood.
The diva explained:
“I feel a lot of compassion for these young kids that are growing up that don’t really understand exactly what’s going on. It’s really rough. That’s why I do a lot of tweeting├óΓé¼┬ª I feel kind of like a mother. It’s something that gives them a little insight into things and it doesn’t make them think that all grownups are the enemy. I never understood the thing about not saying you’re sorry because it’s so easy. It doesn’t take any time and it just dissolves all the bad feelings. It just lets it go, and we can’t hold on to that kind of stuff. It makes you sick.”
And that’s why Cher’s been able to stay in the fame game for so long.
So wise, but it’s easy to forgive comments like “flop” when CLEARLY the icon is NOT.
Unfortunately, we’re pretty positive such kindness was lost on the former child star because she’s called a number of other gorgeous famous faces “ugly” since then.
If only she could have a REAL sit down with Manda — maybe she could be the one to finally get through to her! *SIGH*
